Roberta Wallace Stearns '61

Roberta Wallace StearnsRoberta Wallace Stearns is retired and lives in Northwood, NH with her husband Gene ’62. She and Gene owned and operated Casco Bay College in Portland, Maine, for 15 years. The college was acquired by Andover College in 1999. Roberta was academic dean and assisted Andover College with the transition for a year. She received her M.A. from Western Michigan University and her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. Her career in secondary and postsecondary business education took place in New Hampshire, Indiana, Michigan, Massachusetts and Maine. Stearns is on the board of trustees at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy. She is a founding trustee of the Educational Foundation of the Maine Association of Career and Technical Education, which raises and monitors scholarship funding. She has received awards for excellence in teaching and research, and received the Pioneer in Business Education Award from the Business Education Association of Maine.
