Professional Information

Bill has been at Plymouth State since 1995 and has served in a couple of roles during this time. Currently, Bill is Special Assistant to the President and Director of Environmental Sustainability. His work with several building projects including the LEED Gold -certified Langdon Woods Residential Complex combined with his business and personal background make him uniquely qualified for this position.

Bill started his business career as a licensed CPA with Gordon & Sherman, Inc., in Montpelier, VT. Since 1981, he has been the Chief Financial Officer at three different institutions: Johnson State College, Lyndon State College and Plymouth State University. As the Vice President for Financial Affairs at PSU from 1995 to 2008, Bill was responsible for financial operations and reporting, budget, capital planning, and other administrative functions of the institution including Information Technology Services, Physical Plant, and the Office of Sponsored Programs.

Bill is an avid fly fisherman, hiker and cross country skier. He lives in Plymouth with his wife Lee, a writer and gardener. His son Alex is a graduate of Plymouth State University, and daughter Erin is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and a current graduate student at Plymouth.
