IM Sports Official

Position Title: Intramural Sports Official

Responsible to: Assistant Director for Recreation Programs and Undergrad Intern for Intramural Sports

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Recreation Programs Intramural sports rules
• Knowledge of officiating mechanics
• Knowledge of officiating responsibilities on and off the field
• Experience working within intramural sports at Plymouth State

Duties Include:

• Assist (w/ other members of the Administrative Team) in the interviewing and hiring of IM officials
• Assist (w/ the undergrad intern for IM sports) in the termination as necessary
• Training of all officials for the respective sports
• Keeping an evaluation file on each of the official
• Creating an evaluation form
• Compiling data collected from the evaluation form
• Work in the Recreation Programs Office as needed
• Serve as a substitute for afternoon and/or evening intramural sports for IM supervisors as needed
• Conduct oneself professionally at all times
