Student Scholarships

We want all Plymouth State students to succeed, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Today, 30 percent of Plymouth students are the first in their families to earn a four-year college degree. Many of those students come from families of modest means.

Your support will help us bring them here—and keep them here.

There is no greater need at Plymouth than increased scholarship funding. Your support will fund scholarships. The promise of a scholarship can literally change someone’s life. Not all students are the same, nor are their educational needs. When a student steps on campus, they carry with them all of the problems they could be experiencing at home, making it much more difficult for them to achieve their academic potential.

You can make their education possible with an one-time or monthly gift to a scholarship that matters most to you, whether that is the Plymouth Opportunity Scholarship Angel Fund, an academic program-specific fund, the Martin Diversity Scholarship, or another area that you are passionate about.

Named Scholarships

You can create your own named annual scholarship tailored to your preferences. This type of scholarship allows you to give back to students who share the same passion or major, or to honor a loved one.

Create a new Annual Named Scholarship Fund with a four-year commitment of at least $2,500 annually.

Endowed Named Scholarships

An endowed scholarship, named for the donor or a person you wish to honor, provides funding into perpetuity. With a minimum $50,000 gift, endowed scholarships provide a 3% to 4% annual payout while the principal and any additional return is reinvested to generate annual scholarship awards forever.

Annual Named Scholarships

Beyond financial relief, the emotional impact of scholarship support is profound, easing intense pressure and enabling students to focus on their studies and enhance their ability to succeed. An annual scholarship begins with at least $2,500 in annual support for a period of four years, or a pledge of $10,000.
