My family was never very financially stable and at times, it felt like my dream of a college degree was a little too far out of reach. I have spent every summer stressing about how I was going to pay for my tuition the next year. I am so grateful for receiving scholarships which have kept me in school. I don’t know what I would do without them.

I was a full-time manager of a chain establishment before I decided to go to college. My parents did not graduate from high school, so going to college is a big deal for my family. I want to do something more and I know an education is the best way to attain that. I want to serve my community as a police officer. College has shown me, I can succeed.

I have learned many valuable skills while taking part in PSU’s business school and I can apply them within numerous industries. I feel as though my time at Plymouth has prepared me for success in any field I choose. The contribution you have made in sponsoring this scholarship is greatly appreciated, and I hope to make a similar contribution once I have established myself.

College is on me, and though I got my first job on my 16th birthday, it’s hard to save for college in two short years.
