Hello fellow Plymouth alums! This has been another great year for the PSUAA. We have accomplished so much, including completing the first year of the new Planning Document and Action Plan with many achievements. Highlights from 2004-2005 include:
- new board member orientation program (June each year), an executive council retreat (August each year), and a full board retreat (September each year), allowing for better preparation and communication in designing, implementing, managing and evaluating programming.
- A budget process for all divisions and the executive council. This is the first time we have had individual accounts for each group, which is crucial to the programming offered through the PSUAA. These budgeted dollars come from affinity marketing income.
- An affinity program sponsorship packet to expand opportunities for the PSUAA.
- Naming criteria for alumni scholarships
- Implementation of an alumni travel program, with a trip to Ireland this coming October
- Expanded programming within our existing chapters in Boston and the Greater Seacoast, as well as alumni gatherings across the country
- Successful launch of a new alumni Web site at my.plymouth.edu
- Successful selection and presentation of Alumni Scholarships, Alumni Service Awards and the Robert Frost Contemporary American Award
- Continued success of Homecoming and Alumni Day, including the largest Alumni Day ever!
We are in the process of planning for next year’s activities. As I enter my third year as president of the Plymouth State University Alumni Association, I continue to be excited about our accomplishments, none of which could be completed without a strong board of directors and willing, energetic alumni. Are you one? If so, thank you for your continued involvement. If not, find out more about getting involved by contacting the Alumni Office or me.
We look forward to hearing from you all!
Ut Prosim,
Dr. Eric C. Schwarz ’91
President, PSUAA
