Every day, the Plymouth State community comes together to help expand the University’s impact through philanthropy. Your gifts help students discover their passion and apply it to solve real-world problems. Your support fuels innovative programs that are preparing students to be leaders in their fields. Your generosity improves the campus we call “home,” ensuring that current and future Panthers can see further up here.

Not only what I have learned during my courses, but also – even more important- the memories I have shared both with local and international students. I will continue to do so as long as I am able to.” – Bulent Suslu ’91G

#Panthersgiveback Makes #GivingTuesday a Huge Success for PSU!
On November 29, 2016, Plymouth State University hosted #PanthersGiveBack, a 24-hour giving celebration inspired by the global phenomenon, #GivingTuesday. Falling annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday is a grassroots movement to increase public interest and awareness of the importance of giving, volunteering, and charitable engagement.
In 24 hours, 140 donors stepped forward to support PSU. Among the generous alumni, parents and friends who supported the University were a handful of challenge donors including Wally ’62 and Meredith (Bristow) Stevens ’62, Theresa Koehler Tabor ’91, ‘04G, Larry ’86 and Dawn Haynes ’86, John and Susan Scheinman P’19, and Kim Bownes ’08G and Dave Gyger ’97.
The University promoted #PanthersGiveBack through a combination of e-mail, social media, video, text messaging, and phone calls made by Panther Pride Ambassadors.
“The response to #PanthersGiveBack was truly incredible,” said Assistant Director of Annual Giving Brenda Shively ’13. “It’s inspiring to see the pride and generosity that our community has for PSU. Every gift – whether it’s $5 or $500 – is making a difference for our students.”
Giving Tuesday may be over, but it’s never too late to make a gift to Plymouth State!
