The Plymouth State University Alumni Association Board of Directors is composed of alumni who work tirelessly on behalf of the University and the alumni association. From helping to enhance the reputation of PSU, to advocacy and fundraising, to providing support and resources for alumni and students, the board of directors truly exemplify PSU’s motto, Ut prosim (That I may serve).
The PSUAA Board is pleased to welcome its newest members:
Dianne Lutz Rappa ’76

Employer and title: Executive Director, NHAHPERD (NH Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, & Dance); Retired CEO/Executive Director North Country YMCA, Inc. (2012)
What do you hope to accomplish as a member of the PSUAA BoD?
Expand awareness of the advances and developments Plymouth State has made over the years, underscoring the reasons of why we came to Plymouth in the first place; connecting with past and present graduates socially and intellectually; continuing fundraising efforts (I am presently involved with helping fund ALLWell North with my classmates and Bradford Manor friends) and fulfill the expectations and mission of the PSUAA through my continued involvement.
Are you involved with any service or professional organizations? What inspires you to give back?
I have been involved with nonprofits and municipalities my entire career, most prominently as an Executive Director of NHAHPERD (NH Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance), the North Country YMCA, Inc., founding member of the NH Governor’s Council on Physical Activity & Health, and resident of Bath, NH. My inspiration has been to have NH families and citizens enjoy being involved in their communities while enjoying the healthy lifestyles our great state offers.
If you could go back to your Plymouth State graduation day and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be? As one of my professors said and made me realize – you can never attain all the knowledge you need to achieve your goals through an institution’s education process but that institution has given you the tools to research and find those answers. Never be afraid to go back to that institution and ask questions, advice, and be thankful for each interaction you have had and will have over the years.

I participate in my parish, Immaculate Heart of Mary, support my sons and their hockey teams, the Monarchs, and I am a member of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce Legislative Affairs Committee
Words of wisdom: Life is not a straight path. Be willing to change–everything always works out how it is supposed to!
William Andrews ’62
Hometown: Milford, NH
Retired
What do you hope to accomplish as a member of the PSUAA BoD?
I will use my business experiences (Johnson Precision Inc, sales manager, and owner of the Monadnock Training Council) to assist the association with a successful future.
Are you involved with any service or professional organizations? What inspires you to give back?
I am past president of the Milford Rotary Club. Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self.”
If you could go back, what would you differently?
Take the outstanding education that I received here at Plymouth and help to make this great nation even better.
Hometown: Lancaster, NH
Employer and title: Enrollment Specialist, University System of New Hampshire (previous: Legal Assistant, John J. McCormack Law Office)
What do you hope to accomplish as a member of the PSUAA BoD?
I hope to help keep the PSU experience alive. I loved so much about Plymouth when I was a student and I want to see current students have that same feeling. Everything from the kind-hearted administration to the awesome events on campus to the small-town community feel is what makes PSU unique. I also want to help the University continue to offer substantial scholarships to students. Education is costly and I think we should always work on finding ways to lessen that burden.
If you could go back, what would you differently?
Not to plan too far in advance. It’s great to have an idea of what you want and where you want to go, but life is funny about throwing curveballs and you never know when an opportunity might present itself. Be flexible enough to embrace new paths, but strong enough to decide if it’ll benefit you both personally and professionally.
