It’s cold and icy, driving is hazardous, and the polar vortex is wreaking havoc. Yes, it’s the perfect time to make plans for Plymouth State’s Summer Alumni Reunion! This special event for snowbirds or those who just prefer gathering in Plymouth during the summer is slated for Thursday-Friday, July 25–26.
This year’s reunion is focused on alumni celebrating their forty-fifth reunion or greater. The timing coincides with performances by the New Hampshire Music Festival, who enliven our campus throughout the summer. Several alumni will be featured soloists and Professor Dan Perkins will wield the conductor’s baton. You won’t want to miss the festive champagne reception afterwards!
Other planned activities include tours of campus (what’s old, what’s new, and what’s coming along in the new future) and of Plymouth’s timeless downtown. Receptions, meals, and socializing will be the focus during this precious opportunity for reconnecting and reminiscing with old friends. Photos from last summer’s reunion are available online.
If you’re planning to attend, please consider serving as a volunteer to recruit your classmates. Contact Alumni Relations today at (603) 535-2589; alumni@plymouth.edu. ■ Peter Lee Miller
