About the Speakers:

Kimberly Anderson Ritchie is the coordinator of the Printmaking Program at PSU and teaches within a variety of classes in the Art Department. Her main focus is producing artwork that brings attention to an array of environmental issues. Endangered Invasive Undiscovered [Species] features environmental artwork from Ritchie’s recent sabbatical experiences in Greece and Iceland.

Diana Jolles is an evolutionary botanist who joined PSU’s Biological Sciences department in 2016.  A critical element of Jolles’ research is the collection and permanent preservation of plant specimens, which are stored in the PSU herbarium. Samples from the herbarium are currently on display in the Endangered Invasive Undiscovered [Species] exhibition.

PSU graduate student Hannah Vollmer ’21G was awarded a prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship to study the rare dwarf mountain cinquefoil, or Robbins’ cinquefoil, which exists nowhere else in the world but above the tree line in the White Mountains. Endangered Invasive Undiscovered [Species] features highlights from her research.
