*CANCELED* FemLink: FEMALE Video Project Screening, Introduced by C.M. Judge
April 20, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeHarnessing the power of art and culture in an international setting, FemLink is a video project utilizing a simple structure- one woman video artist per country presenting a two minute video based on a common theme.
“Dedicated to artistic equity and inclusion, FemLink seeks to provide a forum for women to express and link together their various aesthetic visions. Keenly aware of the limitations often placed on women artists, FemLink began to partner with UNESCO to provide training for talented, emerging video artists, especially those living in developing countries.
Co-curators, C.M.Judge and Veronique Sapin have worked together on the project since 2005, gathering a total of 145 artists from 64 countries, assembling 12 video collections. The FEMALE collection includes 30 videos and runs a little short of an hour. The collective reaches far and wide, including many different styles and viewpoints.
C.M. Judge will introduce the screening and take questions from the audience afterwards. For more info about the FemLink project, visit www.femlink.org
