Lecture with Blake Keogh

February 13, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

FREE

Blake grew up skiing small community-oriented mountains like Butternut and Mowhawk in his native New England. After moving to Seattle, WA, he quickly found friends and mentors who introduced him to the beautiful and seemingly endless skiing opportunities offered up by the North Cascades. After moving back East in 2010, Blake quickly found opportunities to share his love for backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering by teaching AIARE courses and ski guiding for Synnott Mountain Guides. When he isn’t in the mountains, Blake is looking for waves to surf, singletrack to ride, and clean rivers to fish. In addition to his guiding work and outdoor pursuits, Blake is currently completing a master’s of science in clinical mental health with a focus on climate distress and mental health in the outdoor community.

Blake is a multifaceted individual who works as a teacher, guide, mentor, student, ambassador, and athlete. In his lecture, Blake will discuss his latest film project titled “The Chase” along with discovering your purpose, maintaining good mental health, and development of this film project.
