Beaded prayer packet
The exhibition comprises more than 4,000 beaded prayers inspired by African amulet traditions. International participants create a sealed beaded packet containing their written wishes, hopes, dreams and prayers. At each site, community members participate in a hands-on workshop that gives instruction on ways to make prayer packets using beading techniques; these are then added to the traveling exhibition.
