St. Hubert’s Vision, Karl Drerup oil on canvas

Karl Drerup (1904-2000), legendary Plymouth State art professor, American enamelist and New Hampshire Living Treasure, was a young man in love with life and art, living and working in the pre-World War II Europe’s most exciting cities – Berlin, Florence and Madrid – and in the colorful market towns, fishing villages and beaches of the Canary Islands. Drerup’s paintings radiate self-confidence, energy and a delight in life’s myriad of New Hampshire. Curated by Jane Port and Catherine Amidon.
