Symphonic Band and Winds Chamber Ensemble Concert

Join the PSU Symphonic Band on Thursday, April 27 for a concert featuring the PSU chamber ensembles and special guests, the Manchester Community Music School Flute Choir, under the direction of PSU flute professor Aubrie Dionne.
The Symphonic Band will be performing both traditional and contemporary works, including David Holsinger’s energetic “Havendance”, and “Bloom”, Stephen Bryant’s beautiful tribute to spring. Also featured will be Percy Grainger’s classic “Irish Tune from County Derry”, conducted by PSU senior Alex Terry. The performance will conclude with Gustav Holst’s “Suite No. 1 in E-flat for Military Band”, long considered a masterwork of the band repertoire. We hope to see you there!
