The Great American Eclipse of 2024
March 28 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
On April 8th, 2024, the residents of New Hampshire will enjoy a rare total solar eclipse. No matter where you live in the Granite State, you will see most, if not all, of the sun covered by the moon that afternoon. This will not happen again in New Hampshire until the year 2079. What can you expect? Why do eclipses occur? How do you safely observe the event? Where should you go to view the total eclipse? How is Plymouth State involved with the Nationwide Eclipse Ballooning Project. Learn answers to these questions and more in this presentation by Dr. Brad Moser, Assistant Professor of Practice in Physics and Astronomy at Plymouth State University. He is also the new director of the university’s Mark T. Sylvestre Planetarium.
Eclipse glasses will be handed out to everyone that attends.
