Mark your calendars and get ready to have a great time with your friends at Cannon Mountain! Classes? Forget them! There is no class on Ski Day, Wednesday, January 9th. We meet at Cannon Mountain for our Annual Ski Day, the biggest ‘holiday’ at PSU. Ski Day brings both experienced skiers/snowboards and inexperienced skiers/snowboarders together for a day to have a great time. While in a pandemic, there are some changes to the process of Ski Day and how students go about getting free tickets to Cannon Mountain. Ski Day tickets will be given out on campus this year to prevent long lines and excessive waiting times. Students of PSU can stop by the HUB Fireplace Lounge to get their free tickets. Below I have provided the schedule to do so:

February 3rd, 2022: 10 AM – 2 PM

February 4th, 2022: 10 AM – 2 PM

February 7th, 2022: 10 AM – 2 PM & 5 PM – 7 PM

February 8th, 2022: 10 AM – 2 PM & 5 Pm – 7 PM

If you need rentals for Ski Day, a pair of Skis or a Snowboard will cost $16, and a helmet costs $8. Also, if you don’t want to drive or don’t have a ride, five buses will go to Cannon Mountain and back. These buses are free, and depart from the HUB at 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 12:00 AM, then the buses will be heading back from Cannon Mountain to Plymouth at 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Lastly, if you haven’t been Skiing and Snowboarding before, I highly suggest attending Ski Day at Cannon Mountain. You can’t beat the pricing on the rentals, and there are many great Skiers and Snowboarders there that are willing to help. Overall, Ski Day is a great day that brings a lot of PSU students together and allows students to experience skiing or snowboarding for the first time or allows experienced skiers to hit the slopes again.
