The 63rd Grammys, which took place on Sunday, March 14th, brought us performances from this years biggest singing stars. Of course, like with everything else this past year, things looked a bit different. There was no big crowd, and everyone was wearing a mask. However, that didn’t stop performances from happening and awards being handed out.

Overall, the night was filled with great performances and plenty of wins that remind us of all the songs that got us through the last year.

There were plenty of big moments during the show, which lasted 3 ½ hours. One big moment came for Beyonce, who won a Grammy for her song “Black Parade”. The award makes her the woman with the highest number of Grammys, as she has now won 28. Beyonce’s daughter, Blue Ivy, also won a Grammy, for her role in her mother’s music video, “Brown Skin Girl”. Although not the youngest Grammy winner, the win is still impressive, as Blue Ivy is only 9 years old.

Another record for the night was set by the ever-talented Taylor Swift. Her quarantine-created album, ‘Folklore’, won Album of the Year. This win makes 3 Album of the Year wins for Swift, and she is the first female to do so. Swift also performed a medley of 3 of her songs from the album, and people loved it.

There were plenty of other wins for other artists during the night. Megan Thee Stallion won Best New Artist, Billie Eilish won Record of the Year (for “Everything I Wanted”), Harry Styles won best Pop Solo of the Year (for “Watermelon Sugar High), and Song of the Year was won by H.E.R. (for “I Can’t Breathe). Overall, the night was filled with great performances and plenty of wins that remind us of all the songs that got us through the last year.
