Taylor Swift has scored six nominations for the Grammys in the categories Record of The Year for “Anti-Hero”, Album of The Year for “Midnights”, Best Pop Solo Performance for “Anti-Hero”, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Karma (feat. Ice Spice)”, Best Pop Vocal Album for “Midnights”, and most notably Song of The Year for “Anti-Hero”. This puts Swift at a record-breaking total of seven Song of the Year nominations, surpassing Sir Paul McCartney and Lionel Richie, who have six each.

“Anti-Hero,” is the lead track of Swift’s most recent album “Midnights”, and very intimately details her insecurities and anxieties in both her public and private life. It spent 28 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 Top 10 and finished 2022 as the best-selling song with a total of 436,000 digital downloads sold. While Swift has yet to ever win Song of the Year, I think that given the song’s tremendous success, there’s no question the famed mastermind will be taking the cake for this one.

Swift’s Album of the Year nod has also become her sixth total nomination in the category, tying her with Barbara Streisand for the most nominations for a female artist. Should Swift win, she will become the first artist to win the award four times.

It should be noted that Swift’s producer and close friend, Jack Antonoff, is also nominated for Producer of the Year for his work on “Midnights”, amongst other albums.

Other notable nominations go to Olivia Rodrigo and Boygenius with a total of six nominations each. As well as Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, and Ice Spice for Best New Artist. However, the question still lies: will Swift be going home with a gold rush of Grammys, or end up losing the Great War?
