Empathy

An emotion, however hard they try,

Will always affect your state of mind.

An emotion can make you whimper,

But it can also make you cry.

All that is unpleasant has not all been ruined,

Just altered to be portrayed afresh.

Are you upset by how obtuse it is?

Does it tear you apart to see young minds become so disillusioned?

I saw the love of my generation destroyed,

Oh how I mourned the aftermath.

Caring is rich. Caring is stout,

Caring with open arms… That’s what it’s all about.
