On Saturday, December 4th at 7:00 pm, there was a Takeover Event where students of PSU were provided with entertainment and social opportunities in The HUB. There were movies by the fireplace, arts & crafts, and Final Survival Kits at this event.

As we all know, finals are approaching us, and I find it incredible that someone has created a “Final Survival Kit.” That someone is Kadie Dickson, Associate Director of Student Engagement at Plymouth State University, and she is very passionate about providing access and opportunities to the students.

The Final Survival Kits were designed to provide students with items they may need to be successful. They added candy, snacks, water, juice, hand sanitizer, lotion, mints, chewing gum, and much more in these kits.

They also had some crafts set up at the Takeover Event, which can help manage stress, especially during finals. Kadie explained, “It’s all about meeting students where they are at and investing our time and energy in things that they would as well.” With the stress rising over our finals coming up, I think it is excellent that faculty and members of PSU are taking the time to show how much they care for the students as they provide us with different resources to relieve stress.
