So, you got a ticket and don’t want to pay, eh? It doesn’t matter the type. This step-by-step guide is here to help you get out of it, easy as pie.

Step 1: Note the Color

When you first receive a ticket, the first thing you should do is check what color it is. Police officers use different colored tickets to mean different things, so make sure the ticket is one you actually have to pay. Here’s a quick color and meaning guide:

Yellow: This ticket is lemon-flavored and means that the cop thinks that your car is really cool. Think of it more as a gold star than a ticket.

Orange: These tickets are orange because the police officer thinks the car might be hot when you get in, and that you should be careful not to burn yourself on the buckle. The orange represents fire, which is noticeably hot.

Blue: Blue tickets are the best kind because they mean that the police officer thinks you have the qualifications to be a cop just like they are. The tickets usually have the officer’s place of work on them, so that you can track them down and confront them about it. Good luck and godspeed!

Fuchsia: This ticket is the same color as a flower because the police officer thinks your vehicle is sweet. It’s also the rarest ticket, so you should hold onto it for a while.

Plaid: These just mean the cop is Scottish. That’s all.

Polka Dots: This ticket means you’re a clown, and you drive a clown car. It’s what they’re saying, not me. These also have the contact info, so you can dispute the clown status with them.

Step 2: Check the Price

Some tickets have a price on them, which represents what you could pay to hold onto the ticket. A word of advice, they usually overprice their tickets, so some well-placed haggling might do you some good. If that doesn’t work, either underpay them anyway or don’t buy it! They’re usually fine with it since it says so on the ticket.

Step 3: Move the Ticket

If it comes down to it, just move the ticket onto another person’s car! They might want to buy it since you don’t. If they already have an offer, you might want to pass them by, but other than that, do them a favor and pitch them an offer!

To conclude, try and get as many tickets as you can, preferably in every color, and maybe you’ll get the chance to have the cops stop by your house! I hope you do well for yourself, and happy hunting!
