Taylor is our beloved Arts and Entertainment Manager. Starting out as a writer in Spring 2020, she worked hard and showed her talent and became part of our core team by the fall. Like many of our upperclassmen, Taylor Nute’s senior year has been an unexpected one. As she navigated the new challenges of COVID, she found a way to make her English Major skills shine.

Taylor’s favorite memory at PSU is precious; she got the chance to indulge her love of adventure, wandering around campus and exploring the wilderness under the stars with her friends. Much beloved by the community, Taylor loves engaging in her classes and making new connections.

“Each professor’s willingness to help you succeed, the general comradery between students in the program, and the outside-the-box thinking taught in the program,”

Among the many things to love about her program, Taylor mentioned, “Each professor’s willingness to help you succeed, the general comradery between students in the program, and the outside-the-box thinking taught in the program,” as some of the things she loves most. I also asked her what made her choose PSU, and what made her glad that she did. She said, “I chose PSU because it was a small enough school that I knew I would be getting a quality education. One thing that made me glad I chose this school is how personable and hardworking every person I met was (both professors and students alike).” She recognized both the strong support offered by the English department and the importance of community in general.

Always smart and pragmatic, Taylor plans to work and save money managing a movie theater after graduation. She looks forward to, as she puts it, “The independence, and also the ability to go out into the world. There’s so much I haven’t done yet, and I’m excited to finally do all those things!” Taylor will, no doubt, do incredible things in her life beyond Plymouth, and will be very missed and remembered fondly by members of The Clock.
