Tis’ the damn football season! It seems that Taylor Swift has found a new lover as she is reportedly dating Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Swift was first spotted cheering Travis on at the Chiefs game on Sunday, alongside his mom, Donna. She was then seen leaving the game with Travis and was most recently seen on Wednesday with her arm around his head. I guess you could say she loves the players, and he loves the game.
This love story started when Travis attended the “Eras Tour” with hopes of meeting Taylor. On the ”New Heights” podcast that Travis hosts alongside his brother and Philidelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce, Travis said he had wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it, but unfortunately, Travis was not enchanted to meet her that night as Swift does not talk before or after her shows to preserve her voice for the 44 songs she performs, saying “I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.” However, when the two met sparks quickly flew, and not just for Travis and Taylor.
Swifties everywhere have a good feeling about Taylor’s latest beau seeing as he is her 13th boyfriend, Swift’s iconic lucky number. They’re also excited to see her begin again since her breakup with British actor Joe Alwyn, so much so that fans on TikTok are comparing the recent pairing to the American Revolution. Even the History Channel poked jokes at the situation by posting a TikTok video with an image of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence, which was then followed by an image of Taylor at Kelce’s game.
In a recent interview with The Greg Hill Show, Bill Belichick, General Manager for the New England Patriots, even had this to say on the NFL’s most recent power couple: “Travis Kelce’s had a lot of big catches in his career, this would be the biggest.” See you next time, Swifties!
