Alexandra has taught at multiple private secondary schools, including Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, and most recently at Holderness School. At Holderness, she taught Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, Biology, Senior Thesis, and a STEM course she designed herself titled "Snow Science: Avalanche Physics." This course combined physics lectures with AIARE avalanche safety and winter field work. Alexandra's undergraduate research focused on the antibacterial and antioxidant properties of an Amazonian tree sap. Her graduate thesis looked at how open inquiry affects students' understanding of the nature of science. In her free time, Alexandra enjoys mountain running, rock climbing, and backcountry skiing, ideally with her husband, dog, and toddler.
