BA in Journalism, University of South Carolina; M.S. in Library and Information Science, Florida State University. 


As the Collection Management Librarian, Alice Pearman’s responsibilities include leading the library in resources selection (including individual and package journal subscriptions, databases, streaming services), license and product negotiations, vendor relations, cataloging, collection budget development and management, and collection analysis and assessment. She is also the library budget manager.

Alice shares additional responsibilities with her colleagues in Lamson Library, including providing reference services and teaching information fluency. She particularly enjoys working with first-year students to explore the complexities involved with determining the credibility of online resources.
