Bret Kulakovich earned his BFA in photographic and electronic Imaging from UMass Dartmouth, and his MFA from Emerson College, with a focus on game and mobile platform development. Bret has worked in higher ed information technology for over 15 years. Other employers include the National Science Foundation, Apple Computer, Inc, and Bonfire Productions, where he consulted for C-Level executives at IBM, Kodak, Wang, and Lotus Development, and completed a variety of projects for GE/FANUC. In the K-12 sector, Bret was elected to two terms as a School Committee member, and appointed chair of the regional finance committee for each. Bret is also a state licensed K-12 science teacher.

Currently Bret is principal designer for the Draper & Maynard technology facilities, running and providing direction for the Robotics Lab and Makerspace. Recently, Bret co-authored a one-million-dollar grant that Plymouth State received from US DOC/NIST for the Robotics Program. He teaches design and fabrication for the Arts & Technology Cluster, a variety of courses for the robotics program, and serves as advisor on senior robotics capstone projects.
