Dr. Lisa Ahearn is a 1993 graduate of Plymouth State, she majored in Physical Education with concentrations in athletic training and coaching. She has a master’s degree in Sports Psychology from Ithaca College and Doctorate of Education from the United States Sports Academy in Sports Management. As a certified athletic trainer, Professor Ahearn worked at both the Division II and Division III level, and worked as a Senior Woman Administrator for a number of years, before moving into a faculty position.
Dr. Ahearn spent 10 years as a faculty member teaching sports management and injury prevention courses; also serving as Chair of the Sport and Exercise Science Department at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. Her research interests are crisis management and emergency action planning as they pertain to athletic events and contests.
