Biography

Sine recently joined the PSU Counseling Center as a practicum student. Originally from Denmark, Sine has called the US her home for the past 15 years. She enjoys meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and has had the opportunity to live in East Africa and North Africa. Sine has a growing interest in trauma-informed therapeutic approaches.


Counseling Approach and Areas of Specialization

Sine believes that a person-centered approach is the foundation of a successful therapeutic relationship between counselor and client. She strives to create a unique space that offers the opportunity for deep self-reflection, collaboration, and growth. She uses an integrated approach to therapy that draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and strength-based therapy.


Interests

Sine enjoys spending time with her family and friends, visiting Denmark, crafting, reading and napping.
