Stephanie Halter is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Plymouth State University and regularly teaches Research Methods, Statistics and a First Year Seminar on Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery. Her scholarly pursuits examine the intersection of juvenile crime and victimization, sex crimes, violence within families, evaluation research and public policy. Dr. Halter’s research on minor domestic sex trafficking victims examined whether police in the U.S. viewed youth involved in the commercial sex industry in the United States as victims or offenders. Since 2016 she has served as the evaluator for the New Hampshire Human Trafficking Task Force.
