Kristin Sarette is from Laconia, New Hampshire, and was drawn to PSU because it is a small university with the amenities of a larger institution. Kristin earned her BFA in 2D Studio Art with a concentration in printmaking. Her work focused on the familiarity of the bird archetype paired with fundamental ideas of judgment in everyday life. She fell in love with and worked primarily with lithography. “Plymouth acted as a vehicle for me to begin my professional career as a printer and artist,” she says. “The faculty gave me the freedom to create what I needed to answer my own questions. When I came to Plymouth I had no idea what to expect, and received so much more that I thought possible.”
After graduation Kristin was selected to participate in the prestigious lithography program at Tamarind Institute in New Mexico, where furthered her studies in lithography. She is now developing a collaborative print workshop in Florida.
