Global Education Advisor/Program Manager Claudia Larrow
Claudia Larrow, originally from Burlington, VT, and raised by a Brazilian immigrant, is passionate about study abroad opportunities for students. As an undergrad, despite struggling with social anxiety, she was determined to study abroad and decided to attend a six-month Spanish immersion program in San Jose, Costa Rica. She had the chance to live with a local family and attend La Universidad de Costa Rica. During the program, she was able to travel throughout Costa Rica and even to Panama during Spring Break. She made friends with locals and other students studying abroad from all over the US, some of which she remains friends with decades later. This was quite possibly the hardest experience of her life, but also the most life changing. She learned so much about herself and the world, and left with the confidence that she could conquer any challenge. Not everyone will do such an intense program but that is the beauty of study abroad. There are so many different types of opportunities that cater to the individual and what they are looking for.
She is excited to be supporting PSU students on their journeys. Claudia can be reached at Claudia.Larrow@plymouth.edu.
