Thank you for your interest in sustainability at Plymouth State University! We have made many efforts to improve our community’s relationship with the environment, and to share what we have done students and faculty created an interactive campus sustainability map.
The map describes some of the work we have done to reduce our environmental impacts and consumption of fossil fuels, and also provides the locations of recycling stations and water bottle filling stations on campus.
Learn more about our efforts by selecting locations of interest to you, and thanks again for your interest in this important work.
Campus Sustainability Guide
We are proud to present the third edition of the Plymouth State University Campus Sustainability Guide to the campus community, first published in spring of 2015.
The third edition of the Campus Sustainability Guide was created by students, faculty, and staff to provide answers to common sustainability questions people working and/or living on campus frequently ask, such as what plastics can be recycled on campus. The focus is on the Plymouth State University Campus and the Plymouth community, not just general advice, and we hope the document can make being more sustainable easier by providing practical, usable information.
Plymouth State University Campus Sustainability Guide
Special thanks go out to Hannah Smith for all her work on the first guide in 2014-15.
Plymouth State University is proud of our leadership in environmental conservation and sustainability. Our academic programs, student groups, and building operation and maintenance practices reflect our commitment to the environment. We have a long road in front of us to reach our goal of carbon neutrality. Although I am confident that we will reach this goal, everyone needs to pitch in and be part of the solution. Please stop in at EcoHouse or contact us to see how you can contribute.
