Writing Center
The goal of the Writing Center is to provide the entire PSU community with the support and resources they need to succeed as writers and thinkers across the curriculum.
We strive to listen well and to create confidence and independence. Through one-to-one or small-group consultation, we respond to the needs of writers at any stage of the writing process, on any type of project. We offer a welcoming and inclusive environment to all writers and we recognize that everyone benefits from consultation.
Conveniently located in Lamson Library on the lower level, our staff of professional and student consultants is here to collaborate with you on writing

- presentations
- blog posts
- creative writing
- résumés and cover letters
- speeches
- and anything else that involves writing
During Fall and Spring semesters, we welcome in-person visits from students living on campus. Non-residential graduate students and commuters, please email Jane Weber to schedule an online meeting.
