According to the experts, nurses are needed in pretty much every specialty of health care. Future nurses at Plymouth State University are getting the tools they need for those in-demand jobs.
One by one, third-year nursing majors at Plymouth State received a new stethoscope that will help with future patient checkups. The desire to help is why many of these students signed up for the bachelor’s degree program.
“I just wanted a job that offers the flexibility that nursing does. Hands-on, get to help people,” said Abbey Halloran, a junior-year nursing student.
The stethoscope represents a new chapter in their majors. As juniors, they will now be venturing out from the classroom to hospitals across the region. MORE…
