Noah Lira was named NH Social Studies of the Year in 2022. In his former principal’s 20-plus years as an educator, she hadn’t seen another teacher with such strengths. Lira is still in his twenties, so the best is yet to come.

Tilghman teaches courses that take students to other lands and advance the University’s Habits of Mind focus on critical thinking, purposeful communication, and self-directed learning by showing them differences in how humans are today and in different time periods around the world. Her recent Fulbright research in Madagascar provides new learning opportunities for PSU students.
